One of the three largest gardens in Japan “Kenrokuen”

There is a castle called “Kanazawa Castle” in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and “Kenrokuen” is one of the most famous Japanese gardens next to it.

Originally, the master of this land “Maeda Tsunanori” of this land in 1676 built a villa, and it is the beginning of Kenrokuen gardening around it.

For over 300 years since then, with the hands of various lords, the site of about 11.7 hectares has been stored with change.

Currently, it is designated as “special scenic spot” or “cultural heritage”, and is also attracting worldwide attention, such as being featured in American magazines.

Kenrokuen Garden is a comprehensively created garden that makes full use of the garden methods of various times.

It takes full advantage of the land area and is dotted with large ponds, mounds and tea houses so you can tour the garden while visiting them.

Particularly characteristic is the generation of a garden with the ancient Chinese thought of “Shinsen thought”.

This is a thought that believes in the existence close to the god called “Sennin”, and is to create a mountain where the Sennin lives and to wish for prosperity in the garden.

So, if you visit Kenrokuen, pay attention to the mountain in the garden.
