No.20  Matsuou

Matsuou has been operating in Sarugaku for 30 years and boasts a long-established taste. It is a hand-made soba noodle shop with a focus on salt, water and soba noodles.

From testimonials

The attraction of the shop is not limited to soba.
The point I recommend most is the wide variety of side dishes.
In addition to the table menu, a lot of menus are lined up on the wall.
Items with a sense of season are lined up, including products such as tempura that are always available all year round.
The tempuras carry them one by one in the kitchen, so every finish is crisp and hot.
I ordered sake from Dewa Sakura no Ginjo sake and second cup to Junmai Ginjo sake. This increased the taste of the dish with a sense of squishy.
Many wonderful dishes as ever, and delicious sake and soba made us soothed.

From testimonials

It is very cost effective. It is a shop in a very confusing place, but when you go inside, it was a beautiful and stylish interior. The original soba tea was delicious and all course dishes were excellent.
Although I was worried about accounting while eating the last soba, it was only 1,500 yen. I could eat so much delicious foods and they were so cheap.

No.18 Azumabashi Yabusoba

There are table seats in the Japanese casual and bright dining room.
In addition to the soba menu, it also serves rice dishes such as katsudon and oyakodon, and also offers a la carte menu.
Hot soba is the best soba noodles that you want to eat side by side in Asakusa, and hot soup is popular.

From testimonials

We ate delicious cold sake (Kiku Masamune) with delicious rice, and it was about 3500 yen for all delicious soba. It is really cheap!
I will go there again!

Tororo soup has a good effect from the soup stock! The compatibility with cold soba is perfect.
If it says that it is delicious of nameko grated soba. . . The soba noodles that I felt better than Morisoba, the large-scale nameko, daikon radish, nori seaweed, green onion, and the hot, thick soup match perfectly. It is likely to be my favorite shop.

The restaurant with table seating has a Japanese-style and friendly atmosphere. One-off dishes and courses are also offered, including the standard hand-made soba noodles. Besides sake and shochu, there are also white wines.

From testimonials

It was a shop that I would like to come by all means at night because it is a place with plenty of small dishes such as omelettes and soba and also sake. The atmosphere of the whole store seemed to be a genuinely-oriented job in the shopping area, taking care of the local customers, and I had a very good feeling. It is inevitable to revisit.
